A Level Psychology
This qualification is 100% exam, students follow the Eduqas (WJEC) 2-year syllabus and take 3 exams at the end of year 13.
In year 12: students study the five main psychological approaches; The Biological approach, The Psychodynamic approach, The Behaviourist approach, The Cognitive Approach and the Positivist Approach. Students shall then conduct their own psychological research project.
In Year 13: students apply their knowledge of psychology to specific areas, such as Autism, Criminal behaviours and Schizophrenia. In year 13 students conduct a specific question research project given to them by the exam board.
