This subject may be taught over one or two years at Key Stage 4

Years 9, 10 and 11

Level 1 and Level 2 First Award in Performing Arts introduces a vocationally focused course using practical participation and performance skills.

  • Unit 4 - Dance Skills
  • Unit 5 - Musical Theatre Skills
  • Unit 6 - Music Performance Skills
  • Unit 7 - Production Skills for Performance

Year 12

Year 12 students begin their level 3 course looking at what makes up the Performing Arts business. Unit work involves performing and workshop activities.

Scheme of Work Summary:

  • The Performing Arts Business, Variety in Performance Workshop
  • Optional units to complete at least 6 out of 12 units

Year 13

Year 13 students complete the remaining units to end the course with portfolio evidence for 12 units including recorded material and performances to live audiences.
