Dedicated to Community | Committed to Equality | Striving for Excellence
The Holmesdale School is a well-established coeducational secondary school, serving students aged 11-18 in the Snodland community. We foster a positive culture that emphasises strong relationships, high aspirations, and a commitment to excellence. Our dedicated staff and engaged students work collaboratively in an inclusive, safe, and exciting learning environment. At the heart of our mission is to place learning and personal development at the forefront of everything we do, ensuring that every child is supported in reaching their full potential.
Through our ambitious curriculum and high-quality teaching, we aim to develop independent, resilient learners, well-prepared for lifelong learning. Each student is valued for their individuality and encouraged to reach their full potential by embracing our ECCO values: Engagement, Character, Community, and Ownership. We create a supportive environment where every student is empowered to aim high, take responsibility for their growth, and actively participate in both their academic and personal development.
Since joining the Swale Academies Trust in September 2022, the school has gone from strength to strength, both in terms of academic progress and achievement, as well as popularity. The number of students now starting in Year 7 has almost doubled since 2019.
I cannot fully convey how exceptional our school environment is for helping students thrive. Our staff are dedicated, loyal, and enthusiastic, and are always focused on finding innovative and creative ways to support each student’s individual learning journey. Visiting the school is the best way to truly experience what we offer, and I encourage all prospective parents to come and see for themselves why we take such pride in our school and its vibrant, nurturing atmosphere.

The Holmesdale students achieved the School’s best ever results this summer with the majority of students achieving both Maths and English at grade 4s and above.
Our vision is to provide a safe learning environment, to access a high-quality curriculum through the Holmesdale 'home' style of teaching which ensures that students are independent, resilient and suitably equipped for life-long learning. This is achieved through the celebration of personal excellence on each individual's unique learning journey
At The Holmesdale School, we are building a community where everyone is included and each person can make a positive contribution.
We believe this is done through our ECCO Values. Embracing Engagement, Community, Character and Ownership. Ensuring that students leave The Holmesdale School as well-rounded, confident individuals. We build character based on these strong values, to ensure every person feels supported to achieve their very best.
